Dear Friends:

Thank you SO VERY MUCH for answering our survey about reopening the building for worship services! It is very helpful for us to receive the feedback. It helps us make our plans for the coming weeks. Please click the link at the bottom of this email to see the survey results.

As you suggested in the responses to the survey, you want us to listen to the CDC and the United Methodist Church leadership, you want us following the guidelines for re-opening, and we will do so. We will reopen the church building when it is safe to do so, and we will take EVERY precaution reasonable to protect the safety of our church family. We will follow strict protocols for cleaning and maintaining physical distance. We will wear face masks and eliminate touch points that could spread the virus.

As such, we are announcing that we will continue our current schedule of worship activity through July 12. That means that our 8:30 service will continue to be available on-line (via Facebook and website). We will continue to have drive-in worship at 9:30 a.m.

This schedule will continue until the Governor changes the guidelines and we enter into the next phase of dealing with the pandemic. In the meantime, we are so grateful for your support, for keeping the connection our church family has enjoyed, and for the myriad of ways you continue to be the body of Christ in this community and beyond.

Please know that a group continues to meet and make plans and monitor the situation carefully. We so look forward to the day when we can embrace each other again, safely!

Grace and Peace,

Paul B. Thompson
