You need JavaScript enabled to view it , Senior Pastor, was appointed to Huntersville United Methodist Church in June, 2010. Mike, originally from Kernersville, NC, graduated from High Point University with a BS in psychology and he received a masters of Divinity from Duke University.  As an ordained elder, he currently serves as one of the chairpersons of the Theology and Doctrine Committee of the Conference Board of Ordained Ministries.  Mike's wife, Ellen, is retired from Blue Cross Blue Shield where she worked as a facilities manager and is originally from Hillsville, VA.  Mike and Ellen have four grown children and four grandchildren and enjoy spending time together going to movies and, in the summer, boating.

Monica Humpal, Associate Pastor of Congregational Development and Small Groups, joined HUMC's staff in January 1998. She holds degrees from the University of South Carolina and Lutheran Theological Seminary and is an ordained Deacon in the United Methodist Church. Monica and her husband, Steve, have two children, Morgan and Gavin, and live in Davidson.  Monica's interests include playing the bass, reading, and enjoying "play time" with her family.  Check out Monica's blog, "Monica's Musings," at http://monicamusing.wordpress.com/.

She has a BA degree from Davidson College, a Master's Degree from Pfeiffer University, and an M Div. from Lutheran Theological Seminary. She and her husband James live in Huntersville. They have two children, Eleanor and Charles.

Karen holds a BA degree in Sacred Music from God’s Bible College in Cincinnati, Ohio. She began singing with her siblings and playing the piano in church as early as ten years of age, and has been involved in church music ever since. A few of her favorite things are browsing antique shops, keeping up with friends/family on face book, spending time with grandchildren, and attending gospel concerts with her husband, Russell. Karen has four grown children. She and Russell reside in Concord.

A native Texan, Teri has an Associate's degree from Richland College and is a Para-legal. She lives in Cornelius.

You need JavaScript enabled to view it , Facilities Manager, is a retired teacher and has her BA degree in Math from University of North Carolina Charlotte.  She and her husband, Bill, have been active members of HUMC since 1984.  They live nearby in Huntersville.

You need JavaScript enabled to view it , Director of our HUMC Preschool, has been a part of the HUMC staff since the opening of our preschool in 2008.  Patti has a Master's Degree in Early Childhood/Special Education and has been involved in the field of of Early Childhood Education for over 20 years.  Patti lives in Huntersville with her husband and two boys.  She enjoys spending time with her family, reading, and going to the beach.

You need JavaScript enabled to view it , Children's Ministry Assistant, joined HUMC's staff in 2008.  She has been invoved with children ministries for 17 years.  From teaching dance at a Christian Ballet Studio, working in the nursery, to running the Sunday morning Children's Ministry program at HUMC.  She loves every aspect of watching the children learn and grow in their faith.  She lives in Huntersville with her husband Joe and her son Jack.

You need JavaScript enabled to view it , Youth Director, is an active member of HUMC, alumni of the youth group, and holds a bachelors degree in psychology.  She enjoys working with kids of all ages, and especially has a love for working with youth.  April, her husband Danny and son Wyatt live in Mooresville.

We are blessed to have three wonderful and qualified nursery care givers who serve as full-time staff at Huntersville United Methodist alongside our many nursery volunteers. They are: Carrie Hartsough, Kathleen Doddato, and Kerrilee Stevens (not pictured).
