Angel Tree
Each year shortly after Thanksgiving, our congregation joins together to provide gifts for local children who may not receive any that Christmas. All HUMC attendees rae encouraged to “adopt” an Angel (an actual angel shaped ornament hanging on our tree) which indicates the child’s age, gender, clothing size, shoe size and gift ideas. These folks would then purchase, wrap, and give Christmas presents to low income individuals in the local area that would otherwise have no gifts. Participants include children from area schools as well as the Ada Jenkins Center in Davidson. This is a wonderful way to reach out to our community by providing gifts for these children during this special time of year.
