Adult Small Groups
HUMC offers two options for adult small groups - long term and short term small groups.
Long-Term Sunday Morning Small Groups
Sundays from 9:30-10:155 a.m. there are five long term small groups that meet. These groups invite anyone who would like to join at any time!
- Adult Bible Study Class: Mixed age class that meets in the Ezra room near the preschool entrance of our church. Studies from the Adult Bible Study Series.
- Seekers Class: Ages 30’s—50’s meets in the Isaiah room. Studies a variety of study series (does not meet in the summer).
- Genesis Class: Ages 30’s & up, meets in the Samuel room. Studies from different series such as Nooma.
- Men’s Bible Class: Older men’s class that meets in the Joshua classroom. Studies from the Adult Bible Study Series.
- NOOMA Study group: Join adults ranging from 30's - 40's as they watch and discuss NOOMA videos by Rob Bell. This group meets in the media center
Bible 101 Ongoing Adult Small Group - Beginning January 15, 2012!
Beginning Sunday, January 15, 2012 you are invited to join a small group designed for parents of youth and young children that will be focused on gaining a better understanding of scripture and how to apply that knowledge to our everyday lives. Bible stories and topics will be introduced by the small group leader, Ryan Stamm, each week for open discussion to investigate what they mean to us today. Come join other parents in this relaxed setting for fellowship and insight into our Bible each Sunday at 9:30 in the Simon Peter room. You do not need to pre-register to attend this group - just come and join any Sunday you'd like! And, your kids are well cared for in our fun children's small groups (Sunday school) during that same time frame (9:30-10:15 a.m.). Long-Term Small Groups that Meet Other Times of the Week
- Men's Bible Study - Every Thursday morning at 8:00 a.m. there is a men's Bible study held in the Simon Peter classroom.
